Dodge RAM 1500 Review

Pickup truck trends are certainly not over. Dodge diesel trucks for sale are now faster, bigger, more powerful, and more fuel efficient. The Dodge Ram 4X4 Mega Cab is one of the most powerful and imposing pickup trucks to hit the market. With a price tag of $40,355, this truck is certainly not cheap, but it packs a punch that makes it more than worth the cost.

First Glance

Many truck enthusiasts would much rather own a diesel pickup than a high-end SUV. The first impression of the RAM is that it is incredibly big. The giant hood command attention and the equally large body will keep your interest.

The RAM 1500 has the same macho design that made the previous models so popular. Despite the bloated size, this car certainly means business. If you strap a set of cheap mud tires on the RAM, you can tear down off-road paths at breakneck speeds, thanks to an incredibly powerful engine.

Climbing into the cab of this car will make you feel like you’re getting into a freightliner, especially if you are used to driving sedans. There is plenty of space in the back for holding three adults, although the seats can also be folded for 9 cubic feet of storage space. There is also a concealed compartment underneath the seat, which is great for holding essential tools or valuables that you want to keep out of site.

The 5.7 liter HEMI V8 that powers this vehicle is capable of incredible acceleration and impressive top speeds. The only downside to the large size of the RAM is that it cuts on maneuverability. The turning distance is 49.7’, which is far too much for small suburban streets and will make supermarket parking a nightmare. If you drive a lot in the city, it is best to park this vehicle in the street.
